Amy's gorgeous PINK wedding at Running Deer on April 15, 2011

I had a blast working with Amy for her pale pink and moss green wedding! We used loads of hydrangeas, which are my favorite flower, so I had a lot of fun with this wedding! These awesome photos are courtesy of Marisa Taylor  in Delaware! She is amazing and super cool!

Amy's bridal bouquet was designed with hydrangeas, peonies, and stephanotis filled with Swarovski crystals.

We decorated the ceremony area at Running Deer with loads of hydrangeas and antique shabby metal lanterns. We tucked hydrangeas into the hanging lanterns, and placed them on the chairs with long ivy.  The lanterns shown here are available to rent and you can customize them with flowers and pillar candles.

We used baby pink pillar candles inside the lanterns along the aisle and decorated the front of the purgola with two vases filled with cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, and green hanging amaranthus. It was gorgeous!

The metal hanging lanterns are also available for rent and are great for centerpieces!

My favorite moment of the entire day!

We used the 3 cylinders available from Running Deer and submerged pale pink dendrobium orchids and pale pink floating candles. We sprinkled rose petals and orchids on the mirrors on all the tables. Everything was super elegant and soft!
This has to be my favorite photo! Congratulations to Amy and Matt! It was a pleasure working with you and I wish you guys the very best!

Matt and Melissa Are Married!

So I was super giddy when I saw these photos, because I KNEW Laura Perry would take fabulous photos! I was right! She always takes amazing photos! Matt and Melissa were married at Union Grove Methodist Church in Pittsgrove, NJ. This is the church where my husband grew up. Melissa made adorable signs for the Ceremony and Reception and hand painted them.

The church was adorned with loads of sunflowers and lots of accenting flowers. I placed flowers in both aisles of the church and also two huge arrangements in the front of the sanctuary. I LOVE this close up shot!

I think this was the happiest wedding I've possibly ever been to, well, besides my own of course! Matt and Melissa grabbed some quick pics with the bridal party at Parvin State Park, right down the street from Parvin Farms, where the reception was held.

The photo on the left may end up being a big canvas in someone's home!

The bar was so awesome! My husband and Matt created these bars using old doors that were left in our 1800's Victorian home. Melissa and Matt collected photos and placed them underneath plexiglass. The tent was decorated with saplings and long thick vines from a local swamp. Then these bottles were hung everywhere. I added green trick, viking mums, and crespedia "Billy Balls" all over the place!

I used my set of bark covered tables to mark a walkway and the church flowers were set on top to add more color. I had my gray shabby lanterns all over the place to add more candlelight once the sun went down.

What else can I say? I love my job! Darren,  from The Cake Studio of Ocean City, and I built this cake tier by tier. Matt cut tree trunks and placed them at the base of the cake, and also on all the guest tables. I added a moss table runner and river rocks to the base of the cake and accented the entire space with kelly green votives. I used a massive amount of wildflowers including sunflowers, tulips, astilbe, crespedia, roses, sweet peas, wheat, ranunculus, asters, green trick, solidaster, buplerum, lady's mantle, freesia, and the list truly went on and on. Every place setting had a viking mum and the grouped centerpieces were all created in bark covered tin containers. I used sand blasted manzanita from an awesome California source and anchored them with more river rock. A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped me set up during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding, you saved me loads of time and quite a bit of lost sleep!

I like to think of my husband and I as an creative team. My husband built the doorway on the left using salvaged doors from an old farmhouse that was demolished from the property before his time. Matt made the grapevine wreaths for the church and I wired in sunflowers. They created the perfect touch of color for these doors! The church pews are a prized find Eric discovered from an old church in Brooklyn, New York! We proudly rent these for ceremonies in a "easily accessible" outdoor setting ( the beach, the park, a farmer's field!).

The gorgeous bride and her beautiful bridesmaids. The girls carried bouquets to mimic Melissa's and everyone had a handmade crocheted sleeve created by a friend of the bride and groom's. The flower girls wore halo's of mini viking mums.

My brother-in-law Chris, my brother-in-law Matt, and my hubby. I made the guys a boutonniere with viking mums, green trick, crespedia, and curly willow loops. Matt and Melissa were the only ones with wheat accents :)

I LOVE this photo!

A close up of Melissa's bouquet :)

Matt made this card holder !

The barn looked so cool!

This is one of my personal favorites! I knew Laura would do a great job, but her creativity blows me away! This is why you just never want to let a family friend do your photos, hire a pro and have no regrets! What an amazing pleasure it was to have the creative freedom that I was able to have and help make their wedding look amazing. Thank you guys for trusting me and allowing me to "play and do my thing". LOVE YOU GUYS!

Melissa and Jimmy's Wedding in Ocean City on April 2, 2011

I Loved the yellow and platinum wedding we created for Melissa and Jimmy. Their wedding  was the same day as my brother-in-law's and his new wife, also Melissa! All the yellow flowers for both weddings were so fun. The bridesmaids carried bright yellow cymbidium orchids, yellow freesia, "Babe" spray roses, and bright yellow ranunculus. They absolutely popped!

Melissa carried a fluffy white bouquet of hydrangeas, garden roses, ranunculus, freesia, mini callas, and phaeleonopsis orchids.

The flower girl dropped white and bright gold petals.

A gorgeous day to be in Ocean City!

All the men wore these white phaeleonopsis orchids.

I just found out about Katie Dalrymple, an awesome photographer, who captured some amazing shots! I can't wait to see her other photos! Check her out!

Congratulations guys! It was a blast working with you!

Sneak Peak At Matt and Melissa's Wedding April 2, 2011

This antique truck was the entrance focal point at the family farm. Darren from the Cake Studio in Ocean City took this photo and the two photos below. Thanks Darren!

The tables were a labor of love :) I created these centerpieces in 4 pieces. The center was a tall square vase filled with river rock and tall manzanita branches. Then I surrounded them with 3 arrangements in bark wrapped vases. The sunflowers were the main flower, and I complimented them with LOADS of accent flowers like crespedia billy balls, buplerum, viking mums, solidago, lady's mantle, galax leaves, roses, monte casino, tulips, and ranunculus.  We then surrounded the centerpieces with green votives and also some hanging in the branches. The entire centerpiece was placed on a slice of tree trunk to add to the rustic, organic feel. The barn was breathtaking, we did Pop Pop proud!

The cake was AMAZING!!!! Darren did an amazing job on this cake and I made the arrangements as he stacked each of the tiers. We were going for a very earthy,  free flowing, airy look with loads of wildflowers. I think we did a great job! And the cake tasted amazing! Darren has done three cakes for our family in six months, we love him! Thanks for taking these photos, and also for helping me frantically put the buckets of flowers away so I could get ready for cocktail hour! Stay tuned for more amazing photos from Laura Perry later this week! We are so excited to see what moments they captured!

It was the most gorgeous day for Matt and Melissa!!! I cannot wait to see what Laura and her sister Katrina captured during this happy, happy day for the Davis and Hahn families! We love you guys! Congratulations and enjoy Tahiti!
